The 2025 State of the University - January 30, 2025

The 2025 State of the University Address was be held at  noon  in Juneau on January 30, 2025 during the èßäÊÓƵ Chamber Legislative Fly-in.  

President Pitney’s address provided an update on the important role the University of èßäÊÓƵ system has in the state’s economic recovery and in building èßäÊÓƵ’s workforce; the contributions of UA’s world-class research; and highlight excellence across the èßäÊÓƵ system. 

This was Pitney’s fifth State of the University address since being appointed interim president in 2020 and her fourth as the èßäÊÓƵ system’s 17th president.

President Pitney delivered the address as the keynote speaker during the èßäÊÓƵ Chamber’s Legislative Fly-in Luncheon at the Centennial Hall in Juneau.
